Yugioh! and Cardfight: Vanguard….Kick Off Their New Card Tournament I-Series!!!

GamesQuest with the help of Big Orbit Cards will be supporting Multiplay in hosting two exciting card game tournament events running from the 21st to the 23rd November 2014!

Attendees of Insomnia53, the UK’s Biggest Gaming Festival hosted at the Ricoh Arena – Coventry, will have the fantastic opportunity to enter tournaments for both the Yu-Gi-Oh and Cardfight: Vanguard card games!

If you’ve never been before, the Insomnia Gaming Festival is the home of eSports in the UK, and has the biggest tournaments and prize pools in the country. There’s lots to do throughout the event weekend but why not try your hand and take on the best in one of these great new tournaments?

Each event comprises of four qualifier tournaments, two on Friday 21st and another two on Saturday 22nd. These qualifiers will start at 11am and 5pm on both days.

The top 8 players from each qualifier will advance to the prize series tournament that starts at 11am on Sunday 23rd.

The qualifier tournaments will be 5 Rounds, best of 3 Swiss format whilst Sunday’s prize series tournament is a best of 5 Single Elimination Knock Out format.

But How Do I Enter??? What’s the Format??? and What Do I Win???

First you’ll need to purchase either a single day ticket (£16) or a weekend festival ticket (£40) for Insomnia53.

Then, to enter each qualifier, there’s a £15 (+ a small booking fee) charge that you can only pay by using Eventbrites online service.

Once the tournaments are under way, the top 8 players from Friday and Saturdays qualifier tournaments will be given free entry to compete in Sunday’s tournament finals.

Prizes are – a playmat for every entrant, and a different playmat for the top 8 players from each qualifier tournament.

Sunday’s Cardfight Vanguard Tournament final prizes are £500 for 1st place! The choice of an XBox One or PS4 for 2nd and 3rd places, and Free tournament entry next year for 4th place.

While Yugioh! Tournament final prizes are £500 worth of product prizes for 1st place! The choice of an XBox One or PS4 for 2nd and 3rd places, and Free tournament entry next year for 4th place. A prize pool of  £1,200 of product prizes.

So What’s the I-Series??? What Might My Tournament Playmat Look Like???

This new introductory event is the first of a new I-Series Card Tournament and it’s only one of a number of events being held in the UK!

Multiplay, Gamesquest and Big Orbit Cards hope to grow the I-Series into something special for both Yugioh and Cardfight Vanguard players. The prizes are worked out on a scaling system that’s based on the number of players! The more players that support the event, the bigger the cash prizes will be in future events!
